A Day in the Life - feature documentary film

By Peter Sarosi | Executive Director

We proudly present Drugreporter's new feature documentary: A Day in the Life. Produced by drug users and activists, the movie features the different realities of the global war on drugs by guiding us through one day in the life of people who use drugs in seven cities of the world. Watch the new trailer and check out screening dates and news about the film!

The feature length documentary takes us through one day of eight people, from seven cities, in different countries of the world, from morning until night. They all have something in common - all of them use drugs. But these people are not defined by their drug use. All of them have their unique  personalities, stories and social networks. And the environment in which they live, the attitudes they face, the laws that regulate drug use and the health services available to them have an enormous impact on their lives. This film strives to challenge our common myths and preconceptions about drugs and people who use them. It gives a voice to those representing one of the most marginalised communities of our world to tell stories untold about hate, love, suffering and happiness. It shows how they engage in social activism to break the silence and fight the stigma that shadows their days.

This movie has been produced in cooperation with the most affected community - people who use drugs. We could not have produced it without your support - please help us to give a voice to the voiceless in the future and make a donation today
