This month at our Day Club for Older Adults, we’ve been focusing on strengthening our connection with the local community — and it’s been truly heartwarming. We recently welcomed a group of children from the neighborhood school who joined us for an afternoon of games, laughter, and intergenerational exchange. Our participants also took part in the local Spring Festival celebrations and enjoyed movie afternoons organized in collaboration with nearby institutions.
We were thrilled to host new international volunteers, who are spending several weeks with us learning Spanish while assisting with daily activities and sharing quality time with our older adults. Their energy and commitment have brought new life to the Club and created meaningful moments of connection.
As the year comes to a close, we’re preparing with great joy for our End-of-Year Celebration, where we’ll share a special Christmas gathering together — a moment to celebrate community, friendship, and the beauty of growing older with dignity and joy.
