Dear Supporter!
Bringing joy and helping the children at the Day Center to learn new skills, is very important to us. With your donations we were able to provide the ingredients and cooking utensils for the children to make biscuits.
Cooking is not only a lovely activity for children, that develops their fine motor skills, but it also has a lovely end when the children can eat the results of their efforts. The children were so excited when they learnt that they were going to bake some cookies. This was such a new activity that they didn’t know what to expect. The girls and boys learnt how to measure ingredients, how to mix all the items together and how to spoon out the mixture and then wait for the cookies to bake golden brown and for the chocolate heart cakes to cool down.
The children were very happy and enjoyed their baking day. The best part was tasting the cookies and cakes and sharing them with their parents who were delighted at the achievements of their children. Together they enjoyed the cookies and cakes.
With your support, we can create more activities for the children, thus brightening their days, enabling them to try new things and at the same time learning new skills and becoming more confident and active.
Tuesday 3rd December is a Bonus Day, so help us to raise more money to provide more baking and fun days for the children in the Day Centre!
