Better Hands Association (BHA)
Quarterly Narrative Report – Dare to Dream Project
Reporting Period:
Quarter 2, 2026
.
Quarterly Progress
During this reporting period, BHA focused on identifying and supporting vulnerable survivors while strengthening partnerships with community stakeholders. The project continued to provide a safe and supportive environment where

beneficiaries could begin rebuilding their lives.
Key achievements during the quarter included:
Conducted outreach and case management for survivors of human trafficking.

  • Selected and enrolled 10 beneficiaries into the Dare to Dream Project.
  • Provided psychosocial support and individual counselling sessions to help survivors cope with trauma.
  • Offered life-skills training focusing on self-confidence, communication, decision-making, and personal development.
  • Engaged caregivers and community members to promote acceptance and reduce stigma against survivors.
  • Continued maintaining a confidential database of survivors to improve referral, follow-up, and service delivery.

Results and Impact
The project has begun restoring hope among participating girls. Beneficiaries demonstrated improved confidence, greater willingness to engage in social activities, and increased trust in support systems. Counselling and mentorship have helped reduce feelings of isolation while preparing participants for education, vocational training, and future employment opportunities.

Challenges
Limited funding restricts the number of survivors who can receive comprehensive support.
Many survivors continue to experience trauma requiring long-term professional mental health services.

  • Social stigma and discrimination remain significant barriers to reintegration.
  • Economic hardship increases survivors' vulnerability to re-trafficking.

Lessons Learned
A holistic approach that combines psychosocial support, life-skills development, family engagement, and economic empowerment is essential for sustainable reintegration. Strong collaboration with government agencies, communities, and service providers improves the quality and effectiveness of survivor support.

Conclusion

The Dare to Dream Project continues to provide a pathway to healing and hope for young survivors of human trafficking. Despite limited resources, Better Hands Association remains committed to ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to recover from trauma, rebuild her confidence, and pursue a safe, independent, and dignified future.
