Children in Medellin, receive dance classes every week. They learn respect and good treatment with their classmates. They generate bonds of friendship and are happy to have the dance as part of their lives. They want to be good dancers, but more than that, they want to live in peace, surrounded by love and opportunities. In each class, they learn from their teachers and also occupy their free time healthy, away from drugs, crime, violence and abuse. This project is a great opportunity for them.
Children and young people have few opportunities to develop their skills and creativity because of the social conditions in which they live, surrounded by violent environments, abuse and drug addiction. They belong to families of socially and economically vulnerable communities in the city of Medellin
Providing training opportunities and enhancing the creativity of children and youth. Strengthening their social relations, the development of their individual, family and community life project through dance. Offering children, youth and their families, a space to learn, enjoy, share and develop educational and recreational activities. Contributing to the prevention of violence, abuse, drug use and teenage pregnancy, through the constructive use of free time.
Improve capacities in children and young people and provide greater opportunities. Contribute to the decrease in school dropouts. Promote and guarantee the rights of children and adolescents. Contribute to the reduction of violence, teen pregnancy, drug consumption and the forced recruitment of children, adolescents and young people. Improve family relationships. Contribute to the formation of psychosocial skills, stimulating the beneficiaries, the discovery of their strengths and weaknesses.
