In response to severe poverty and depleted household resources across the overcrowded Bab Al-Salameh camp cluster, BESME INSANI launched an integrated food relief project. The campaign aimed to provide both long-term household food stability and immediate daily bread access for destitute displaced families. Over a multi-day field operation, our team distributed 750 standardized food parcels along with 15,000 kg of fresh bread bundles to 750 registered families (~3,750 individuals).
The distributed food packages contained calorie-dense staples selected to support dietary diversity and meet daily caloric requirements through winter conditions. In parallel, our mobile bakery distribution trucks delivered fresh bread packs directly to decentralized camp micro-nodes, eliminating long waiting lines and transport costs for recipients.
Field logistics were managed seamlessly in coordination with local Bab Al-Salameh camp administrators. Priority registration was granted to widow-headed households, orphan families, and elderly individuals living without support. Quality control officers supervised every stage—from warehouse packing to field distribution—to ensure strict hygiene and food safety standards.
Receiving both monthly food rations and daily fresh bread removes a crushing financial burden from impoverished parents, preventing skipped meals among young children. BESME INSANI extends its gratitude to humanitarian donors whose support enables our field teams to sustain essential food safety nets across Syrian displacement centers.
