Impoverished families living in An-Nasr camp endure severe poverty compounded by limited employment opportunities and high living costs. Responding to urgent nutritional gaps, BESME INSANI completed a targeted bread distribution operation designed to secure basic daily sustenance for displaced residents. During this campaign, our team distributed 1200 kg of fresh bread to 240 vulnerable families, supporting an estimated 1200 individuals across the settlement.
For households living in makeshift shelters in An-Nasr camp, a daily bundle of bread serves as the primary staple sustaining children through harsh conditions. To guarantee strict hygiene and nutritional standards, field supervisors oversaw bakery production and direct packaging daily. Mobile units loaded with fresh bread navigated camp roads to deliver allocations straight to families before breakfast.
Operations strictly adhered to humanitarian protection guidelines. Verification officers confirmed beneficiary vouchers against registration records to ensure transparent delivery without delay. Special assistance was arranged for elderly residents and persons with mobility challenges, ensuring door-to-door bread delivery straight to their tents.
The reliable daily provision of fresh bread brings immediate comfort and restores basic dignity to parents struggling to nourish their children. BESME INSANI continues to monitor food security indicators across An-Nasr camp, striving to preserve vital bread distribution routes for displaced Syrian communities in need.
