In the Azaz region, conflict-affected host families and displaced communities residing in makeshift camps continue to struggle against soaring commodity prices and widespread unemployment. Many household heads have lost their primary sources of income, making it nearly impossible to afford balanced groceries. As a result, families frequently rely on high-carbohydrate, low-nutrient diets, leaving young children, pregnant mothers, and elderly residents exposed to severe nutritional deficiencies and health vulnerabilities.
In direct response to this growing hardship, BESME INSANI mobilized its humanitarian teams to execute a comprehensive food basket distribution, delivering 750 high-capacity food parcels to low-income households in high-need camp zones. Priority was given to female-headed homes, widows, and families supporting individuals with severe physical disabilities. Each basket contained a curated selection of essential dry commodities, including cooking oil, rice, lentils, bulgur, tomato paste, sugar, and canned protein items.
The distribution provided immediate food security, lifting the constant financial worry off parents' minds and allowing families to enjoy complete, nutritious meals in safety and comfort. Parents shared deep gratitude for the high standard and generous quantity of the provisions, which restored dignity to their daily lives.
Your generous partnership serves as an essential lifeline for these resilient families. Together, we continue to bridge critical food gaps, bringing real comfort, nutritious support, and renewed hope to households striving to rebuild their lives under challenging conditions.
