Stationary Distribution & Electrical Repairs

Activities Carried-Out During Last Quarter :

It came, it shook, it destroyed. The site of the city was uprooted trees, big broken branches blocking the roads, fallen name boards, hoardings, damaged compound walls and vehicles under fallen trees, power cut and lack of milk supplies, a day after severe cyclone Vardah ripped through the city. The power supply was not restored in most of the schools for almost 2-3 weeks. It’s been a couple of months since Vardah had devoured Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur District.

Schools which were in outskirts of the city faced the wrath of the cyclone. As part of the initiative, the foundation had helped the school management and the students to cope up with the scenario by lending a helping hand. The foundation had distributed stationery’s like note books, pencils, erasers, rulers, pens, sketches, crayons, water colours, uniforms, school bags, geometry boxes, etc. for the students.

Foundation also carried out basic electrical repair works in many schools by providing bulbs, electrical fittings etc to the needy schools. Technical repair work likes replacing old batteries with new ones for laptops, changing damaged wires, computer servicing and so on were also carried forwarded in many schools.

Electrical wiring and plumbing works for drinking water in schools was also done in the many schools. The team deployed dedicatedly carried out the repair works within the timeline. The schools were thankful for the support on quick recovery.
