This project continues to bring joy and new skills to the girls participating.
In December, all 240 girls were invited to a Field Day on the beach in Gaza. Project staff and volunteers from different community organizations worked together to prepare a special day of fun. The girls had a chance to try a few more sports activities including bowling, jump rope, and relay races.
During the past months, the girls also received support from professional trainers in how to constructively express themselves.
We had to take a break during exams and winter holidays but the project is back and the girls continue to be enthusiastic participants. One staff member comments "One of the tangible indicators for their interest is that on the training days’, the girls dress the sport uniform from their homes. They all attend the school ready for the training which tells that it is exerting a positive impact on their daily lives."
