Customized Wheelchairs for the 1st time in Egypt!

Dear all Alhassan Foundation’s friends, believers & supporters,

We want to share happy news with you our dear donors that we just delivered 22 customized wheelchairs to a diverse group of our beneficiaries. We know that this wheelchair will change their lives. Many of them say that they feel that they are flying once they use it for the 1^st time and say it can’t be even compared with the feeling that they have riding their traditional hospital wheelchair.

Alaa is one of the beneficiaries who just got his new active wheelchair posted on our Facebook group his testimonial saying that:

These customized wheelchairs are tailored made for each case based on his/her weight, height, health condition, and needs. It’s made with medically approved materials, and components. It’s also provided with cushions to resist pressure sores & any possible skin irritation. Riding this efficient light-weighted wheelchair made wheelers’ daily lives so much easier; consequently that improved their self-esteem and physical independence.

Our dream is to provide this efficient wheelchair to each and every wheelchair user in Egypt to make their life easier and help them live the life of the Differently Abled person not like a disabled person. Not only that, but also we provide electric wheelchairs for Quadriplegia cases and adjustable wheelchairs for kids to fit their age & condition.

In 2018 alone during the last few months, we provided over than 50 customized wheelchairs so far and willing to provide more and more this year and exceed last year's record. Our dream is to provide this efficient wheelchair to each and every wheelchair user in Egypt to make their life easier and help them live the life of the Differently Abled person not like a disabled person.

As we have introduced the customized wheelchair concept in Egypt for the 1st time less than 6 years ago, we also have the one & only maintenance workshop for customized wheelchairs.  Not only that, but also we provide electric wheelchairs for Quadriplegia cases and adjustable wheelchairs for kids to fit their age & condition.

Let’s all celebrate life together with providing another person with hope to live his life with less daily challenges due to his physical condition. With less than $3000 you are pulling a person from depression to hope, and from living a useless life to searching for his/her mission in life.

I won’t be exaggerating if I told you that providing this customized wheelchair, which is tailored made for the person based on his/her health condition or injury, height, weight, and needs, is actually changing their lives. Riding this efficient light-weighted wheelchair made their daily lives easier, which encouraged them to be more confident in their ability, and have self-esteem. This wheelchair is proving our slogan, which is we are not disabled we are DIFFERENTLY ABLED.

One of our previously beneficiary and currently employee in our beloved foundation used to feel insecure in her old traditional wheelchair, but after receiving her customized wheelchair, which is tailored exactly to suit her condition (Atrophy of muscles) decided to be the 1^st model on wheelchair in Egypt. She knows that the modeling industry is all about appearance, but she had this amazing self-esteem & enthusiasm that pushed her to take this major initiative and she is still trying to change society's perception about wheelchair users through also participating in a dancing team that includes wheelchair users as performers. Changing lives can be as simple as changing a wheelchair!

Dear all Alhassan Foundation’s friends, believers & supporters,

It’s your success too our faithful donor! We were able to provide over than 100 active wheelchairs for paraplegic Egyptians & over than 20 power wheelchair for quadriplegic till the moment.

During the past few years we were trying to find the most efficient alternatives for wheelchair users in Egypt. Before Alhassan Foundation steps up and provides this pivotal product for wheelchair users in Egypt, the traditional wheelchair was the only option available for wheelchair users. This old hospital wheelchair was giving its users pains, soars, and health issues due to its inefficiency.

The customized wheelchairs that we provide currently to our wheelchair users in Egypt are light, efficient, and tailored made to fit the person’s weight, height, and health conditions. This wheelchair changed their lives totally; it helped them go to their schools, workplaces, and walk around easily.

One of these wheelchair users told us that she felt like she is flying after setting on this active wheelchair and it gave her self-esteem. One of our wheelchair users described to us how this wheelchair changed his life to be away better, and how it made him more optimistic and energetic. This wheelchair helped him move around in his house and help his kids also it helped him to accompany them to their schools easily then go to his work.

We are trying to have better deals as well with other suppliers to provide better and more cost-efficient services to kids & adults. In our future plans we are planning to build a small plant to import and collect this wheelchair parts to produce the final product s in Egypt, which will save huge costs.
