Little Liu is nine years old. Her family are tea farmers in the Puer region of Yunnan Province. They earn $2000 per year from selling tea leaves to the local manufacturers.
Little Liu was born with a near complete blockage in the main artery of her heart, the aorta. She also has a partial blockage of her mitral valve. These two blockages force blood back into her lungs and flood her lung’s airspaces with water. She has to go to the hospital frequently so doctors can give her medicines to get rid of the extra fluid.
She cannot live much longer without expensive surgery available at West China Hospital in Chengdu, China. The surgery will cost $13000. Her family can raise only about $5000. They need your help now. Please donate to help this child live.
