Save Li Gan with Severe Heart Disease 2 wk Report

By Robert Detrano | Director

Li Gan, born with severe congenital heart disease,  is 4 years old.   Mr. Li, his father, is a potato farmer in Xuanwei County, China. By working hard, Mr. Li earns a few hundred dollars per year.  He is saving money to pay for his son's surgery but he can only save one tenth of the $10000 required.  He needs help.

We are raising money to save Li Gan's life and we are working toward a September goal of 50 donations.  So far  40 generous people have shared the burden of the surgery cost with Mr. Li .  By helping us reach our goal of 50 donors, these 40 donors are also helping to save the lives of other children with heart disease.

This photo shows some of our donors with Li Gan and his Dad. These are  ordinary young people like you who gave what they could afford, some $10, some $25, some $100.  Li Gan, his father and the China Cal staff thank them for their generosity and thank you for considering helping us reach the goal of 50 donors and the goal of saving Li Gan's life.

With your help, we will save Li Gan. With your help, we will reach the goal of 50 donors by the end of September.
