THE BLINDNESS FOUNDATION thanks all if its supporters during this trying time , when most of SE Asia is in lockdown. Hopefully, we will be back for Eye Mission in Laos and Cambodia this fall.
Our goal of 100,000 lens implants donated to blind people throught the region is in sight.
To date we have, with your kind support, amassed over 66,000 intra-ocular donations from US companies and arranged for them to be place in cataractous eyes throughout the region. These together with operating microscopes , local Eye surgeons and med-surgical supplies have restored vision to countless blind people within this geographical sphere.
Our capital fund target , required to sustain our Eye Missions well into the future remains at $ 10 million.
With your kind help we will get there.
Laos has asked for Ophthalmology textbooks and educational material for their young Ophthalmologists, However the US Postal Service has suspended shipments during the shut-down. When thet re-open we can resume accrual and shipment of both lens implants and textbooks.
Thank you for youe un-wavering and kind generous support
