During the first 5 months of the year, we have done the following project's progress:
Results review of our annual International Peace Day event held in September 2019 with more than 1,500 people youth and adults from all over the country. The activity was completely free for attendees with contributions received and volunteers.
We started planning the educational initiative #ConstruYOpazRD that promotes first-person peace building, coordinating with schools to hold workshops and courses on Culture of Peace and peaceful living.
In attention to the situation of COVID-19 with the closure of schools, we adjusted the strategy for #ConstruYOpazRD and we worked on a series of publications on the meanings of the culture of peace and crisis times. In addition, we carry out community campaigns to deliver protection materials against the spread of the disease.
With this new reality, we are directing all our creative efforts to celebrate the International Peace Day as a virtual Peace Week through a powerful platform for 5,000 people. We are in the preparation of the promotion resources and request for sponsorships.
