Help us Welcome our Newest rescue Guinea Pigs  Marshmallow, Ellie, Fefe, Mimi, Rue, Norm, Jane, Joy, and Cha Cha and elder ratty Athena to Critter Camp Exotic Pet Sanctuary!

Sadly we lost dear sweet Barnaby the guinea pig we took in last fall. He had been fighting respiratory illnesses his entire short life. By the time he got to us he had been on severeral medications that did not help him. We took cultures to see exactly what he had - which was strep of all things and treated him successfully with the correct medication. His breathing cleared up however his lungs were scarred from all of the disease so he still received daily nebulizer treatments. He seemed to be doing well and since he was no longer contagious he got to go into the boy colony and make new friends. He lived there happy for about 5 weeks when sadly his little heart just gave out - the stress to his tiny body had been just too much to bear. We are glad we could give him a happy life here however short it was. We miss him terribly.

It sure looks like Spring is upon us and we are very glad! Heating the buildings that the animals are in is very expensive! We had several below zero days and it sure adds up- but the animals are always kept nice and comfy and warm!

Your support helps us carry out our mission and we truly appreciate it!
