Thanks to the generosity of wonderful folks like you Critter Camp was able to accept some new pets this week.
Meet Cairo a 3 year old fennec fox. His owner had a change of living arrangements and was no longer able to care for him. He's getting used to the excitement here at Critter Camp :)
We were also able to accept a group of 5 boned ferrets whose owner had serious health problems and had to give them up but needed them to stay together and in a free range setting like our free range ferret room. They are fitting in very well and have made new friends already. Jasper walks with a limp due to an old injury. They are all adorable!
Critter Camp took in a baby syrain hamster too and has already placed her with an adoptive family. Her owner mistakenly thought she could keep sibling syrian hamsters together- nope! they will fight. Hamsters need to be alone, except Roborovski hamsters ( tiny ones that look like they have white eyebrows and a mustache:)
We also have great news! We are getting a $10,000 grant from CHASE from the Chase contest we mentioned in our last update!!! Thanks to everyone who voted for Critter Camp!!! We won't ahve the money for several weeks but it is nice knowing it's coming :)
