Here's hoping everyone has a very joyous Holiday Season!
Since our last report we have rescued more pets needing sanctuary thanks to YOUR support!
We took in 2 elder guinea pig ladies - Pigwig and Ginger. They are now very happy in our colony setting.
Kirby, a very human-aggressive cockatiel joined our big new aviary. He is loving his new birdie friends and having so much room to fly!
We took in a pair of elder ferrets, Gary and Scout, who had been abandoned at their pet sitters. The former owners even blocked the sitters and cut off all contact. The sitters were going to keep them but they are moving to California where it is illegal to own ferrets. So now Gary & Scout are happy here with their new friends in our big free range ferret room. Gary is being treated for adrenal disease and is doing very well.
We took in 6 elder ratties from owners who were losing their homes too - Zuzu, Trax, Splat, Willow, Nova & EV.
We had a very sad loss recently. Miss Cinnamon our raccoon passed away due to ongoing health issues that were being treated. Sadly many of these exotic pets are very inbred and have terrible genetics leading to shortened life spans and medical issues. We are glad we could give her 6 very happy years here with lots of treats, toys and love, even when she attacked us.
Next month Critter Camp celebrates our 20th anniversary! Yes, 20 years of saving thousands fo small and unusual pets needing sanctuary! Thanks to all of YOUR support we can be very proud of this accomplishment!
Please consider donating to help with our end of year expenses - supply costs have skyrocketed this year! Thank you!
Wishing all of you the very best of this holiday season and a magnificent new year!
