Sampark identified a Labour colony at Thubarahalli where there were about 250 migrant families. As of 31st December, a total of 92 (42 female and 50 male) children received the services of crèche. 
During the reporting, 58 children attended the creches. 10 children were identified who are eligible to enroll in a government school and the team made efforts to admit 04 children to a government school. The remaining 6 children were not able to enroll in government schools because they have gone to the village at the time of admission. As of 31st Dec, a total of 92 children received the services of creche.

HEALTH CAMPS
During reporting period 3 pediatric health camps were organized in the crèche. A total of 100 children was screened of which, 42 were female and 58 were male children. About 4 children identified with illness. The common physical ailments that were identified in children during the health camps were cold, cough fever, anemia. Sampark team members were able to link the children at Thubarahalli to the local Primary Health Centre at Doddanekkundi. These linkages helped to provide age-appropriate immunization. During the reporting period, 08 children (7 female and 1 male child) accessed age-appropriate immunization.

NUTRITION
Sampark set up the crèche keeping in mind that children’s nutrition should be given utmost priority. During the reporting period team provided eggs, bananas, and peanut bars every day and cooked pulses alternate days (Green Gram and Channa) as per the planned schedule for all the children. Also started providing cooked hot midday meal (Kichidi).  All the 92 children received their nutrition every day.

EDUCATION

Activities related to overall development such as cognitive and physical development were implemented to the children in crèche. According to the curriculum, there are activities for the holistic development of children such as physical, linguistic, social, and numerical abilities. The topics covered during the reporting period are wild animals, life skills, village and city, birds and plants, and my country.

COMMUNITY INTERVENTIONS

Parents meeting

Every month parents’ meetings are conducted to discuss the issues related to individual child and feedback are given on their performance. During the reporting period, 3 parents’ meetings were conducted in the crèche. So 55 parents (54 female and 1 male) attended the parents’ meetings. During the reporting period, important topics like the Importance of cleanliness, the importance of age-appropriate immunization, and the importance of vaccination for Covid 19 are re-iterated in every meeting.

Nutrition camp
During the reporting period nutrition camp was organized, where 47 parents (47 female) participated and learned about how to make nutrition salad with different kinds of vegetables such as carrot, cucumber, bean and sprouted moong gram, etc.

SPECIAL EVENT
During the reporting period, three special events were organized. On November 4th Diwali and 0n 24th, December Christmas was celebrated where children performed singing, dancing and distributed sweets to the children, etc. On November 14th Children’s Day was celebrated. Before that several sports and competitions were conducted and on Children's day prizes were distributed to the children who won the sports and sweets were distributed to all the children.
