With your contribution we will create the center for volunteers that will give them a possibility to help children, elderly and families in need. After the center is renovated volunteers will be able to implement such activities as: cloths destitution point, "soup for homeless", etc. Moreover, organizational and motivational meetings for volunteers will take a place. It is essential because volunteerism is not developed in Georgia and needs urgent support.
Really small percentage of population of Georgia is working as volunteers. Though there are thousands of poor families, elderly and children who need help, a lot of people have not even heard about it. Caritas Georgia gives volunteers a chance to share their time and strength with people in need. However volunteering can not be developed without a special place. They need a room to implement different volunteering actions, like "Clothes distribution point", "Soup for homeless", etc.
Caritas Georgia has free premises which can be used for the creation of volunteer's center, but they can not be used without renovation, as they are hardly damaged. Renovation of those premises will help in the development of volunteerism in Caritas Georgia and in the country in total. Moreover, appropriate premises will give volunteers a chance to create more actions in favor of those in need.
Providing condition for voluntary work will attract more people to give away themselves to poor. Developed volunteerism will not only help persons in need, but will raise solidarity, kindness and solicitude in the society.
