Despite all the difficulties and the scale of destruction caused by hostilities, the residents of Zelenyi Hai remain in their community and actively work on its recovery and development. Thanks to the joint efforts of local activists and a community organization, they have managed to restore the building of the youth center.
Reassessing the community’s needs, they concluded that what residents need most now is a center for career guidance, as the war has caused significant changes in the labor market. Many people currently face the challenge of changing professions in search of employment, but they lack the resources and opportunities to do so in frontline communities.
This is why the ISpace project aims to create an open, innovative educational space in a frontline community with limited access to quality technical education and professional development resources. The space will become a hub for children, youth, adults, and older generations, providing equal opportunities for learning, self-realization, and creativity.
Youth often cannot decide on a career due to the lack of modern tools and support, while the older generation, because of digital inequality, does not have access to basic household services. The war has reshaped the labor market, and parents and educators now require resources and methodological support in the new educational realities.
ISpace addresses these challenges by creating a technologically equipped, open space that combines:
career guidance through hands-on practice (3D printing, robotics, project-based work);
intergenerational learning (children, youth, and adults learning together);
mentoring programs and engagement of professionals.
We have not yet raised funds for this campaign, but we have already begun actively working on its promotion.
