The ISpace Project is designed to build an innovative, inclusive educational hub in a frontline community where access to quality technical education and career resources is limited. The space will become a meeting point for all generations, from children and youth to parents and seniors, offering equal opportunities for learning, creativity, and professional growth. More than just a learning center, it will foster intergenerational exchange, social connection, and resilience.
Before the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, the village of Zelenyi Hai had a school and a house of culture. The village's school was destroyed, 40 houses were damaged. Youth often cannot choose a profession due to the lack of modern tools and support, while the older generation does not have access to basic household services. The war has brought changes to the labor market, and at the same time, parents and educators need resources and methodological support in the new realities.
The educational center will fully meet the need of young people and all the residents for a place for leisure and development. The residents of Zelenyi Hai have very clear plans and visions for their ISpace center. ISpace addresses these challenges by creating a technologically equipped, open space that combines: career guidance through hands-on practice (3D printing, robotics, project-based work); intergenerational learning (children, youth, and adults learning together); mentoring programs.
The project aims to strengthen the social, economic, or infrastructural resilience of the local community. This can be achieved by creating new employment opportunities, developing skills, supporting vulnerable groups, or improving access to services. The project engages youth in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of initiatives, fostering the development of youth leadership and civic engagement.
