We are building a free tech makerspace for children in a small Romanian town, where many students lack access to digital education. Through robotics, 3D printing, and hands-on STEM learning, we will empower 150 kids and train local teachers to use technology in the classroom. This project gives rural children the skills and confidence to build their future, not just dream it.
Limited access to STEM education in rural Romania affects all children in Rosiori and surrounding areas. The existing educational center we previously built lacks modern technology like 3D printers and advanced robotics kits needed for hands-on learning. Without proper equipment and interactive tools, students miss opportunities to develop critical digital skills, creativity, and innovation capabilities essential for their future success.
We'll establish a fully-equipped makerspace with 3D printers and robotics kits at our existing Educational Center. Through weekly STEAM workshops, 150+ students will gain hands-on experience creating robots and 3D models. Our mobile "Science Comes to You" caravan will reach rural schools. Local mentors will ensure sustainability, while the interactive museum displays student creations, inspiring future innovators.
This project will create lasting change by establishing Romania's first rural STEM makerspace, training 150+ students in digital skills essential for future careers. The interactive science museum and trained local mentors will serve 500+ community members annually. Students will develop critical thinking, creativity, and innovation capabilities, reducing rural-urban education gaps and inspiring the next generation of engineers and innovators.
