The project is currently in the early fundraising and preparation phase, with financial sustainability remaining the immediate priority. The project has a total fundraising goal of $50,000, while the current GlobalGiving campaign has raised $1, leaving $49,999 to reach the full target.
Despite the limited funds raised so far, significant groundwork has been completed. Initial financial planning and budgeting have been undertaken to ensure that available resources are allocated efficiently across the project's key needs, including safe-house rent and security, survivor meals, emergency supplies, counseling, medical care, legal support, and vocational training. The project also continues to explore partnerships and pro-bono support to reduce operating costs and maximize the impact of every donation.
The next major financial milestone is to secure sufficient funding to obtain and prepare a confidential shelter, furnish the facility, and begin providing direct support to survivors. With continued donor support, the project aims to establish a safe and sustainable environment capable of supporting 30 women and girls affected by gender-based violence each year.
