Past food distributions at peace kids
It’s been three and half years since covid hit us very badly and here in Kenya we still feel the very negative effects of the covid 19 , the cases have really gone down in Africa but the effects of the monster still lies within us and most families are still struggling alt to make ends meet for the siblings and the household families members. It’s my appeal that if this continues then its hitting hard on the said families hence an intervention must be sort amicably to help them mitigate the effects.
With time may be the effects inflicted will drain but it will take time for the normalcy to be achived in my village as the negative impacts have really ruined so many faamilies economically hece the desparations that comes with it.The basic food items are really needed by these families to keep their children going and to get them basic nutritions that they are unable to afford.

flooding of ,lower part of lake victoria
There is to be tought times ahead in my village later this year 2023, this after the metrological depertment in kenya predicted that we are just months away from another tragedy this year, there will be el nino coming and most of our homes would be swept by high waters flooding the lower parts of the lake victroia rigion here in kenya and this will distabalize most home stead whom were already recovering from the effects of covid 19 which has caused havoc to the lovelihoods of many people around my village hence we are afraid of such happenings once more.
Most familieas are still languisdhing in porvetry hance there is much need to support them with all the basic needs lacking in their small families. the most affected and wuld be affaected again are the women and children in my village. We still appeal for the assistance so that we are able to cussion these families from the hursh reality.

Families face hard times ahead as tax laws bites

Some food donations to a vulnerable family
Many families would risk going hungry as the government increases taxation on basic food and nonfood comodities that every family would depend on to put food on the table. The finance bill this year has proposed several draconian taxations that would real;ly affacet the ordinray kenyans and put the families in the very bad states in terms of getting the daily bread.
With the increases on these levies the most vulnarable in our communities here in kenya will feel it greatly and would be unable to sustain theior family basic needs. Most commodities prices have risen tremendiuosly in the mast few monts putting the already vulnerable children and families in a very awkward situation. The packet of maize floor which is the besic household commoditi now retails at Ksh 240/= up from the initial Ksh 150/= and this is repeated in many of the basic household food products across the nation hence we have so many families going without food for days and they do not have any formal employement to take care of these basic nees and hence needs inbtervantion as starvation amongst these families is real and cannnot be downplayed at all.
Its our humble appeal that we continue coussioning these famileies as they strrugle to make eneds meet for their children and the strrugle is reral hence we need to intervene. The inetervations will go along way to make these families to survive during this hurse moments in life.
