Cases of Covid-19 continue to increase in Kenya including fatalities. The threats of new strains are making the fight in this pandemic even more difficult. The good news that Kenya received its first dose of the Covid-19 vaccines and we are optimistic that this is the journey of a healthier nation.
We believe continuous sensitization is still needed especially in informal settlements and rural areas. We are grateful for the donations we received that allowed our team to create this e-book that had a focus on local Kenyan children. We were able to create an ABC guide that focused on continuous education for young children and their caregivers. It is a downloadable interactive guide that we shared through different social media channels.
Our hope is that schools will adopt this guide that can later be a printable chart. Each letter in the ABC guide has a focus on educating in child-friendly language the seriousness of this pandemic and how to keep the child and family safe with practical how-to's.
We are grateful to our volunteers who helped spread the word and the support we get from our wonderful donors together we are able to serve and make an impact.
