Over the past month, we have been blessed to partner with other organizations and collect a little over 11 pallets worth of dry goods for families in need.
The pandemic has taken many families finances and flipped them out of control, and even with new jobs emerging, many families are finding it hard to make ends meet. So, we feel grateful that we are able to help them by giving them an average of 25lbs of food along with bottles of cleaning agents and cases of water!
The many stories that we have heard of people not knowing how they would be able to provide food for their children or themselves and then hearing about our effots coming just in time, has been remarkable and a blessing to our team(s).
Our hope is to continue these efforts, even as we begin to think ahead to hurricane and tornado season. On average, there are at least ten families per day in desperate need of help just within a 3 -5 mile radius of our operations. When we add in the fact that word of mouth of our services have spread, referrals and families constamtly in need, we easily forecast the need to collect or buy enough food for 1,000 families in the next month.
Our new goal is to raise the monies needed for at least 30 - 45 more days of service for the community, before we gear up for a busy flood relief and rescue season (as many of you who follow us know our other services).
Please donate, share the word about our mission to keep families fed and then continue to follow us throughout the impending and inevitable natural disaster season.
God's blessings on you all and thank you!
