Bonus Day Project! Creative girls have a hard time fitting into "normal" education systems. Covid-19 added more stressors: isolation, sick family, loss of traditional milestones, etc. So, we're launching an innovative music biz education series accessible by mobile phone! U.S. teens will have a fun, safe learning/community platform with industry experts teaching "real world" lessons. Your donation will help us launch a pilot program so young women can start a career path to success!
While our scholarship grants for music/sound camps are invaluable experiences, COVID-19 showed us we need something covid proof for uplifting the next generation of female music makers. Young women are suffering in these unprecedented times: isolation, sick family/friends, loss of traditional milestones like graduations and birthdays, and financial hardship. How do we offer a safe place for creative teens to meet like-minded friends in a fun environment with advice from female role models?
Inspired by our podcast series, we're piloting an innovative music biz education series and online community offering the education, experience, and role models. Each episode is a structured interview with an industry expert. Listeners can then access a members area where they can download checklists, summaries, resources, and discounts. There will also be a private "Listening Room" where girls can upload music videos/audio for feedback and collaborations.
Long-term impacts include: -- Sign up 100 young women nationwide as members of the online education series in Year 1 -- Launch a 10-episode education series available to all young women nationwide -- Decrease feelings of isolation, anxiety, and depression for young creatives -- Squash imposter syndrome and improve self-advocacy in young women entering the workforce
