Hello to our dear donors!
As we are now in our second year of COVID, the world is still aiming to finds its feet and figure out how to deal with all that's been happening around us. With so many changes and such grievances caused to many families, netoworks and communities, the African Bush Camps Foundation was and remains committed to positive change.
We would like to thank our donors who have contributed to our COVID-19 relief fund - which was able to specifically support rural communities in the Hwange Rural District in Zimbabwe. We aimed to work with our partner communities who often have limited access to preventative care from the rapidly spreading COVID -19. In our efforts to do so, we focused on increasing access to healthcare, running water, and sanitary suplies and faciltiies. Of course, this came with its own challenges - particularly given the impact of the pandemic on access to necessary materials.
We will still actively engage with communities where we can and in any capacity that we can. However, at this stage, we will do so by emphasizing our other projects and finding ways in which to increase our support through these existing initiatives. As such, we will be deactivating this project, and rather leveraging our own resources in communities and via other projects.
We very much appreciate the support you have shown the communities in which we work. The challenges that these communities face are hard to imagine - and the support you have provided has been beneficial, useful and life changing for many of those affected by the virus.
