As of recent report, the COVID-19 pandemic will push 96 million people into extreme poverty by 2021, 47 million of whom are women and girls. The essential food items & health kits will be great support for poor and marginalized people. These are largely neglected by the COVID-19 related treatment, care and food insufficiency. This campaign can support essential food, basic COVID safety, health and hygiene materials along with sanitary products like face masks, hand washing soap and sanitizers.
Due to open borders to India, limited access in vaccination & less precaution practices, the COVID-19 pandemic second waves with new variant is spreading every corner with painful health conditions. Until the 80% population access in vaccination, a risk for spreading nationwide. Infection has forced them to stay at home with no income and means to receive basic treatment. It also affected in massive job losses, shrinking of economies and loss of livelihoods.
Through the Hygiene Kits and essential food support for the people suffering from COVID-19, can get immediate relief, promote healthy practice, recover from the infection and become COVID-19 negative as early as possible. The essential food and hygiene products like masks, soap and sanitizers will make a lot of difference and make no worries while in isolation or in lockdown for the marginalized people of the districts.
This project will save many poor families from food shortage as well as help them to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and get back to leading a normal life. We will be able save them from falling into life-threatening poverty and explore possibilities of livelihood.
