Covid – 19 preventive lockdown has changed the life of every individual in the country. While the lockdown helped in reducing the spread of the virus and required to fight the pandemic, it has also caused numerous challenges, especially for the underprivileged section of society. Many of them have lost their jobs and are struggling to fend for themselves and their families.
With the support of GlobalGiving, Agastya International Foundation could able to do some relief work in Maharashtra, India. Specifically in the slum areas where even you don’t have a chance to maintain the social distancing and getting healthy food was a nightmare for many of the families.
We have distributed around 400+ masks to the people in the slum areas in Pune and in public clinics. Also distributed vegetable kits to more than 20+ families, who were not able to buy the vegetables because of loss of earning and the high price of vegetables.
