We hope this finds you in good spirits! We are reaching out to share some wonderful updates.
The Ghana Educational Collaborative family is pleased to announce the transitioning of our wonderful high school graduates into their prestigious Universities. One will be studying Public Administration and one will be studying Physical Science- both attending the University of Ghana (Legon)- and our third student will be studying Business Administration and attending the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).
These three students have been with GEC since grade two and we could not be more proud of their progress. Please join us in wishing them great success as they begin a new phase of their educational journey.
In other news, we had a great changemaker program at the end of 2021.
In continuing our exploration with our students of the UN sustainable development goals, during the month of November we focused on goal number six, clean water and sanitation. To act on this we embraced a service-learning project with our changemakers of cleaning up Borla Beach in Accra, Ghana. As part of GEC's mandate of shaping our students' mindsets to be responsible leaders and changemakers, the beach cleanup was a huge success. One of our recently graduated seniors noted, “This is the earth that we are going to inherit. We have to be the ones to protect it and keep it clean. If not us, then who?”
We say 'Ayekoo' (well done) to all our vibrant changemakers for their amazing work at Borla beach and another congratulations to our students on their way to college!
Last but not least, we have added four new students to our cohort (pictured with their families!) and we are so excited to be growing GEC! This is all thanks to you.
