We are yet to execute the project because of financial constraint; we
are still receiving donations, we have just raised $5,332 out of our
$48,000 threshold. However, we decided to carry out the project in phases.
The first phase has been executed in April 2020, we are planning to execute the
second phase in March 2021 with the little funds we have raised in September
and December 2020 fundraising.
We considered feedback to be very germane to our wonderful donors, we visited one Mrs Khadijat, a physically challenged woman that benefited from our cash assistance for business support in August 2020 and we are glad to report that she is doing pretty well with her petty business and the business is taking care of her upkeep.
It needs to be mentioned here that even though year 2020 is truncated with COVID 19 Pandemic, we are still able to make meaningful impacts in the lives of rural dwellers which go a long way to cushion the hardship occasioned by Covid 19.
In our first phase of giving palliative to people to cushion the effect of the lockdown, we donated clothing items to people and one man actually came to the program wearing a rag, our volunteers quickly swung into action by providing him with clothing materials and the man went home happy and rejoicing.
Moreover, we have a lot of proposed projects waiting to be executed because of financial constraint, therefore, those laudable projects shall be carried out in phases whenever funds are available.
The following projects are on our waiting list :
1.Continuation of COVID 19 palliative (phase 2)
2.Provision of potable drinking water for our rural communities
3.Youth empowerment project
4.Women empowerment campaign
5.Provision of renewable energy for rural dwellers
6.Enlightment on substance abuse
7.Campaign in favour of 'Speak Up" culture
We want to use this medium to appreciate all our donors for their kind gestures.
I attach here with the pictures of the programs executed.
