How will families survive without jobs, without economic activity? This was the general concern of people when Covid 19 started and it was the trigger for us to act. After a year and a half, our work not only continues but is also increasing. With the commitment of thousands of volunteers helping around the country, this project will provide immediate access to food and educative kits to families in 21 provinces of Argentina giving relief to this dramatic situation.
Poverty...60% of our population lives in poverty. Reconstruction of employment opportunities for families will be a mid/long term reality for families, in Argentina. Our challenge is to give support to 30000 families affected by the devastating crisis of Covid 19, accentuated by the Argentinian economic crisis. Covid 19 caused not only a sanitary crisis but a social, economic, and educative deep crisis. Our challenge is to feed, our challenge is to educate.
With donors' support, and the work of volunteers we will attend basic needs of thousands of families through 46 Salesian Houses. Well provide daily meals for 5000 people Weekly alimentation and sanitary assistance for more than 4196 Families Weekly educational accompaniment for almost 500 kids and young.
Guarantee of daily feeding will help children, young people and parents grow strong and will also prevent undernutrition, and development problems. Educational accompaniment will avoid students drop out of school, and delays in future education and job opportunities. With confidence based on education as the principal tool to overcome poverty, our goal is to educate.
