Empower 240 disabled children and adults

Thanks to you, we raised $5,170 (including $580 in bonus funds from GlobalGiving on Giving Tuesday) in our end of year fundraising campaign. Thank you for all your support!

This year, Prithipura Communities celebrates 60 years!

From small beginnings, Prithipura Communities has promoted opportunity for hundreds of disabled children and adults over the years, and despite many changes, our values remain the same. We believe in the intrinsic value of all humans regardless of disability and that disabled people should have equal access to a family life, education, work opportunities, community integration and ultimately live a life free of stigma.

Here's a message from Anula who has been at Prithipura Communities for many years and has seen how the organisation has evolved over time.

“I am so happy to think of the achievements of those that have been supported by us. Children who came to us, when everyone else had lost hope, now live independent and inspiring lives.

With support from far and wide, we have always encouraged those who live with us to be more than society expected them to be. I would never have been able to imagine that the babies and children I cared for, all those years ago, now make such a contribution to Prithipura; for their work on the farm but also the leadership roles they have taken on and how they support others to do their best.”
