Dear project supporters,
As you know, the use of face masks in public places like the markets, parks, and public transportation during the COVID-19 pandemic has been recommended by different health practitioners and governments. The World Health Organization and other public health organizations agree that face masks can help limit the spread of the COVID-19.
Over the years, we have learned that many times that we must go the extra mile to provide empowering support. It's essential that we help to provide protection to those who may not be able to afford to purchase masks.
With this in mind, your support helped purchase supplies to have a local tailor, Josie, sew over 100 cloth masks. These masks were distributed free to families in Freetown.
The beneficiaries were very grateful to receive the masks and expressed their deep appreciation.
Thank you for helping to meet this important practical need. Together we are helping to stop the spread of COVID-19 / coronavirus. Together we are winning. Together we are saving lives from sickness and possible death.
We will be sharing some more information in a couple of weeks about an additional distribution of cloth masks.
We warmly invite you to start a monthly recurring donation here. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. This is the best way to ensure an ongoing impact.
Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this project.
With deep appreciation,
Amy and the Develop Africa Team
