Challenge

On the evening of December 10, 2021, a deadly tornado outbreak ripped through rural areas of Kentucky and Tennessee leaving widespread devastation in its wake.

Solution

Within hours of the disaster, CORE launched an immediate response to provide emergency support to those most impacted by the crisis. CORE has deployed a team to conduct damage assessments in Mayfield, Kentucky, and the surrounding areas in the U.S. Heartland.

Long-Term Impact

Our focus is determining the immediate needs of the hardest-hit communities, addressing gaps in relief, and long-term recovery needs. As search and rescue efforts continue, this tornado event is the deadliest ever recorded in the U.S. in December.
