Our organisation is building a 1x2 classroom block at Sishawe Primary School in Bubi Rural District in Zimbabwe. The school is an impoverished one and the parents are struggling to make ends meet. At the moment the children are attending classes out in the open due to lack of proper classrooms. Our organisation decided to help this community. The project is now at roofing level. The super structure has now been completed. We are now in dire need of about USD7,500 for us to buy roofing materials.
The children do not have proper classrooms. They are attending classes under a tree. This is affecting their performances in class. They cannot concentrate when there is lots of activities outside. The morale is very low among both the children and their teachers.
The children will have a safe, secure and decent learning environment. They will be able to concentrate better.
The children will be in a better position to do well in class which later would see a larger number doing well and then being enrolled in well established high school.
