This project will build a commercial premise allowing hand-crafted jams to be sold in the inclusive "Sabor Natural" productive enterprise. It will help young people and adults with disabilities from the city of San Martin de Los Andes to enter the workforce and contribute to the sustainability of the NGO.
In Argentina, 80% of people with disabilities do not have access to work. Access to work allows them to enter adult life, making independent living possible. Due to the difficulties faced by people with disabilities in gaining access to the competitive market, we have developed an inclusive, productive enterprise. On the other hand, the sustainability of non-governmental organizations is critical; for this reason, these NGOs must develop and strengthen their ventures.
Through our productive venture, "Sabor Natural de Puentes de Luz", we grow high-quality aromatics spices blends, and regional fruits to transform them into artisanal jams, thus helping our young people with disabilities learn a trade being able to enter the workforce. In this sense, we want to build new 30 m2 premises to market our products, providing employment to people with disabilities.
The project will allow young people with disabilities to be part of the marketing of their products, stimulating them and contributing to their self-esteem. This will allow them to achieve greater social skills and be socially recognized as competent employees for roles in the production line and in a commercial shop with high public exposure.
