Action continues in favor of women victims of rape and sexual violence displaced from wars living in Bukavu. 200 wooden houses with three rooms each and a kitchen will be built for 1,400 beneficiaries. They respond to a need to restore the dignity of the beneficiaries because many of them lived in straw houses, often degraded and sometimes without door or window.
Most of the families benefiting from this action, many of them staying in straw houses, often degraded and sometimes without doors or windows, and others lived in unbearable precarious conditions, languishing in buildings that they describe as even "bird's nests". Their houses today have a paved floor as well as a roof protecting them from bad weather, pests and insects.
Finally to allow the project to be resolved, the following activities will be carried out: - Information on the project and its objectives: this involves informing local local authorities and technical services about the objectives of the project and obtaining their advice in carrying out the project. -Construction of 200 wooden houses with three rooms each and a kitchen -Systematically involve beneficiaries and other local stakeholders in the choice of actions and their implementation
-The housing conditions of the 200 families victims of rape and accompanied sexual violence have considerably improved, as has the health of the children.
