Two hundred families, victims of rape and sexual violence, displaced by war and living in the city of Bukavu, continue to benefit from the project, including members of the families of direct beneficiaries, i.e. 1,400 people (an average of seven people per family). Each family has leveled their plots, participated in the loading and unloading of construction materials, and participated in the construction work. It should also be noted that a warehouse is available at the community level, managed by community members and/or each beneficiary family, and that other willing individuals are responsible for transporting materials to their destination.
In addition, local authorities also helped to facilitate administrative procedures relating to the installation site and to ensure the safety of families and their property.
