Project Report | Apr 27, 2020
3 month report : Jan to March 2020

By Dr Deepa Raja | Project Leader

Namaste ....

A very difficult phase indeed is going on right now. Well, amidst lock down from March 14th itself, our visit to Ashramshal was kept on hold . However, in January, we were able to meet all the directors of Ashramshalas which are actually residential rural schools . WE tried to understand what is needed out there and how can we optimally create a project where teachers can give the intervention on a regular basis...

After our analysis and screening results, it was devastating to know that more than 45% of children are falling into a category of having learning disabilities . This is a huge bracket . We may not want to loose on the brighter students from this clan and so our efforts have always been in a direction to reach out to children in rural parts as much as possible....

The detailed report is attached herewith as we keep on with our intervention sessions with children with Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, Autism...

We are also trying and adapting an online session using zoom, whatsapp video call so that we keep connecting with mental and emotional health of children who are attached with us.....

Thank you for all the support ....

Dr Deepa Raja
