CONSERVATORY INTERVENTION THROUGH SCOUT CORPS

REPORT TITLE: CONSERVATORY INTERVENTION FOR NATIONAL BIRD THRO SCOUT CORPS

PROJECT TITLE: CONSERVATION OF NATIONAL BIRD, INDIA  

          At Govt. Higher. Sec. School, Tharuvaikulam, vulnerable block Ottappidaram for the Boys and Girls students regarding the National Bird, Peacock Conservation Awareness Programme was convened. With the president ship of School Headmaster and in the presence of Scout Corps Teacher. During this Training Programme following information’s were delivered to the students.

  1. Every living being has the right to live and eat in this world. This is not only for animals and birds, including other men and women we should not either hurt or kill anybody.
  2. Among the birds Peacock is a beautiful and very nice bird.
  3. Peacock is our National Bird of India our Nation. Killing the Peacock is a punishable crime according to the Forest Act 1972.
  4. If anybody hunts or kills or hurts in any manner, that person is suitable for 3 to 5 years imprisonment and he has to pay a penalty of Rs. 50,000/-
  5. At ottappidaram & Vilathikulam areas of Thoothukudi District our Indian National Bird Peacock is hunted and killed by poison. In such manner many cases have been filed by Forest Dept.
  6. Therefore organization and Chevalier Roche Society, Global Giving Aided Project jointly conducts the National Bird, Peacock conservation and Awareness Programme for the Vulnerable Agricultural Community , Boys & Girls School Students.
  7. Peacock has an important role in Bio-diversity and Food cycle.
  8. Peacock Conservation Squared shall be formed in School level and Peacock conservation Awareness Programme should be Conducted in School level.
  9. Students should not kill the Peacock species. They must be protected School Boys & Girls students must fall their parents about this.
  10. Students must come forward to complain to the forest Dept. at once when they find Peacock is hunted or any Peacock species meet an accident and find injured.  
  11. In order to conserve the Peacock Species Parents & Teacher Federation must be formed.

After the Awareness Training Programme Students took Oath as follows:

1)   We will preserve the Natural fertilities

2)   We will protect our National bird

3)   We will Conserve the Peacock Species

4)   We will make way for all lives to live peacefully and happily.

Finally Scout Corps incharge delivered the Vote of Thanks.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME AT VEPPALODAI SCHOOL STUDENTS

          Peacock conservation Awareness Programme was Convened in the Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Veppalodai with the President ship of Biology School Teacher and in the Presence of Students Scout Corps incharge Teacher. During this Training Programme following information’s were given to Boys & Girls Students.

-         Peacock is our Indian National Bird

-         Either hunting and killing the same is legally a crime.

 REASON FOR THE DEATH OR KILLING OF THE PEACOCK:

  1. For the purpose of meat Peacocks are hunted and killed.
  2. In many places there is a superstition that Peacock oil is a quick remedy of log pain.
  3. For developing the power of the seeds crushed Medline is applied upon seeds like maize etc.
  4. Peacock is killed by poisoned flood seeds.    
  5. In order to take water and Food Items Peacock crosses the Roads and meet the Vehicle accidents 
  6. By the animals and also by hunted.
  7. By the Rat poison and hunting Peacock die in our Country.

METHOD TO AVOID THE DEATH OF PEACOCKS:

1)   Natural Resources must be protected.

2)   People shall be given enough awareness to protect the Peacock Species.

3)   Usage of poison and powerful medicines must be avoided in the Agriculture. Natural agriculture must beencouraged. 

4)   People must be given enough understanding about Forestry Laws.

5)   During the Morning and Evening times farmers shall chase Peacocks from their agricultural fields. They should not use poison to avoid the incoming of Peacocks into their agricultural fields.

6)   Students must tell the farmers and Public People about the conservation of Peacocks.

7)   In the paddy, maige agricultural fields man shaped cloth dholes shall be kept and Peacocks can be chasten away.

Finally Co-ordinator, Global Giving Aided Project, delivered the Vote of Thanks to the participants of the programme.
