As has been the case for the last Twelve years Green Care Association (GCA) has continued serious work at its Tree Nursery and has been supplying trees of various species to the Local Councils and institutions like schools and managers of community forests and water catchments. This time around the thousands of Trees in the nursery have either medicinal, economic, fruit and ornamental values. Nursery work is all year round by GCA staff and volunteers some of whom are local or from overseas. Its for these reasons that the Mayor of Kumbo Council upon visiting the nursery recently declared “ My Council is going to do everything such that the trees are bought and planted around, especially as enrichment of Kumbo Council forest”. The nursery which is based in Shisong is accessible by Car and nearer an all season source of water. Its thanks to GlobalGiving donors that GCA has been able to buy a good variety of seed species and other nursery requirements. GCA shall is very thankful to Global Giving donors.
