Green Care Association Steps up efforts to realize training facility.
Recently, Green Care Association( GCA) continued her efforts of realizing a training facility by erecting walls of their office building and roofing, a project started back in 2012. The structure which have provision for a conference, library, honey processing , secretariat and toilet rooms has been realized thanks to enormous sacrifice from GCA Staff, local and foreign volunteers and part of GlobalGiving funds. The main reason for the structure is to free GCA from having to hire halls for trainings, and paying of exorbitant house rents for the office every month, more to that its being increased every year. Also the building that is presently housing GCA is too small considering that the organization is going in strength and activities. Even though is going to take some time to complete the project, the works done so far is encouraging . Reasons why GCA has received Congratulatory messages from many friends some of whom offered free days labour during construction either to help transport mud blocks to site and plank. Dozens of villagers, some as far as from Kingomen and Mbuluf donated drinks as their support during work. Other appreciation keep coming from GCA network organizations like CENDEP, CAMGEW and Rural Transformation Centre ( RTC) We are very proud and appreciative of the support we have received so far from GlobalGiving friends. It has been our main source of motivation. One of Green Care’s senior staff Balon Donatus (Mr Danger) happily declared “with this office we can now do great things”.
Thank you.
