In efforts to better the lives of many elders interested in domesticating Sheeps and Goats in and around Shisong, Green Care Association offered a one day workshop on Pasture Improvement to members of Community Development Volunteers for Technical Assistance ( CDVTA) for Shisong( A group of Elderly Men and Women.
Participants were drilled on Types of Pastures, Live fencing, Paddocking and the associating benefits to improve pasture for animals. Samples of some fodder species were collected and displayed to assure proper knowledge.
The workshop attended by 15 participants of Shisong CDVTA left for their various homes with some agro forestry trees seeds, Brakaria and cuttings of Quatamala to start their various farms, supplied by Green Care Association.
Those present were very happy and appreciated Global Giving through Green Care for assisting them with the much needed knowledge and provision of seeds. Mama Emmilia Nsai, one of the happy recipients of the seeds said “am going to start my Pasture farm immediately, luckily with the wet season around.” It all ended with a big Thank you to all.from the group leader Mr Yensela Fidelis.
