Green Care has continued to make strides to ensure food security amidst climate change in our local communities. We are grateful to GlobalGiving through this platform through which donors have been supporting our endeavours. One of such recent endeavours was a community outreach to Tabah at the outskirts of community. This community has a lot of potentials for market gardening, aquaculture and apiculture. The community leader of Tabah, His Royal Highness The Fon reiterated that his community has enough land for market gardening, especially some wetlands where agriculture can be practised during the dry season with limited irrigation. The Fon also noted that such an endeavour will ensure rural food security against a backdrop of climate change. The Green Care team during the visit went round the community for a brief land prospection and concluded that Tabah is blessed with rich soils, potential water resources for domestic use and gardening, areas where ponds could be enhanced for aquaculture as well potentials for bee farming. We thank GlobalGiving and our donors who have sustained our flame.
