Project Overview

During the reporting period, ConnectHER continued to support women and girls through practical skills development aimed at improving their employability, economic independence, and ability to secure dignified livelihoods.
The program provided participants with practical training in caregiving, housekeeping, and childcare, equipping them with skills that can be applied in homes, institutions, and other care-related employment settings.
A total of 35 participants completed the training during the reporting period and were recognized for their achievement through a certificate graduation ceremony. 

2. Activities Implemented
The program focused on practical and employability-oriented training, including:
Caregiving skills – participants learned how to provide appropriate support and care to individuals who require assistance.
Housekeeping – participants gained knowledge and practical skills in maintaining clean, safe, and organized household environments.
Baby and childcare – participants were trained in appropriate childcare practices, hygiene, safety, feeding support, and general care of young children.
Practical learning and demonstrations – participants were given opportunities to apply the knowledge gained during training.
Graduation and certification – successful participants received certificates recognizing completion of the training program.

The program achieved several important milestones during the reporting period:

In the next phase, ConnectHER plans to:
Provide post-training mentorship to help graduates transition from training into employment.
Connect graduates with potential employers seeking trained caregivers, housekeepers, and childcare providers.
Provide additional practical sessions to strengthen participants' confidence and workplace readiness.
Support participants with job-search and interview preparation, including professional conduct and communication skills.
Develop an alumni/support network where graduates can share opportunities and encourage one another.
Track graduate outcomes to understand how many participants secure employment or begin income-generating activities after completing the program.
Expand the training to reach more women and girls, allowing additional participants to gain practical skills and improve their economic opportunities.

ConnectHER's skills development program continues to demonstrate the value of investing in practical skills for women and girls. Through training in caregiving, housekeeping, and childcare, participants are gaining knowledge and skills that can open pathways to employment and economic independence.
The completion and certification of 35 participants marks an important milestone, but it is also the beginning of the next stage: helping graduates translate their newly acquired skills into sustainable livelihood opportunities.
