For the Christmas that just passed, our partner Coostafe created a beautiful movement. 100 dolls manufactured by our cooperative partner were gifted to institutions that house minors in the state of Pará. Customers who were interested can purchase the doll at the price of R$10.00. By buying the doll, the consumer not only presented an underprivileged child with a lovely Christmas gift but also fostered the cooperative network formed by women prisoners in the north of Brazil. In addition, he or she could help to spread the work of Coostafe, the first cooperative formed by female prisoners in Brazil.
About 200 women have already gone through Coostafe and among this group of women, the rate of recidivism is 0%. Through the platform of Conexão Liberdade, they are able to sell their handcrafts and buy other things.
We would also like to thank you each one of you who have donated to are interested in Conexão Liberdade. It is your generous help that has gotten us this far. We are able to make an impact because of people like you.
