Dear Supporters,

Just a short message to say thank you all so much for your generous donations. We will now be closing this Computers for Refugee Children project.

We were not able to reach our funding goal but collectively we still raised enough to donate half of the computers needed. The remaining amount needed will be funded by another source. Please (if you don't already) feel free to continue your support on our other GlobalGiving project.

The youth of Koung Jor would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for your help.

With gratitude,

Iona & The Branch Foundation Team

Dear friends,

We hope this message finds you well and feeling hopeful for the future.

Just wanted to send you a quick update to say we are keeping this project open a few more months in the hopes that we can still raise funds for the last remaining computers. If you've been quietly waiting on on he side lines or considering to make another donation, now is your chance!

We recently got an update on how much of a difference the new computers we've managed to fund have made to the students and the camp leadership alike.

We hope you can help us get closer to our project funding goal so we can replace a few more of the old computers and connect more of them to the internet.

Thank you from the TBF team and the Koung Jor community!

Iona & Tom

Dear Friends,

We would like to start by wishing you a very happy and healthy 2022!

Donations to this project have been slow, we get it, it's not the most urgent sounding project in the world BUT it is needed now more than ever before.

Although Koung Jor Refugee Camp have very much become part of the wider community around them since they arrived in 2002 they have been isolating for much of the past 2 years to keep safe from Covid-19. So far their efforts have paid off with only one family contracting Covid-19.

Being shut off has come at a price, residents can not leave for seasonal work, higher education programmes have been paused and interaction with the wider community has been limited. Having access to our very popular computer classes and being able to use the internet has provided a much needed lifeline to the outside world.

We still need to try reach our project funding goal of £2,034 (we have £1,313 to go!) so we can upgrade the last reamining computers and connect more to the internet. So, if you have donated to this project in the past please consider donating again or even better start a recurring donation. Your support is helping the youth of Koung Jor have a brighter future.

Thank you, we are so grateful for your support!

With kind regards,

The TBF team

Hello Friends,

We hope this message finds you healthy and happy.

We don't have much to update you on in this report but wanted to let you know that we will be doing an end-of-year/ Christmas campaign for this project in the hopes to get it fully funded.

If you have any friends or family who might be interested in helping refugee children to have improved access to working computers, connection to the internet and be able to attend the exisiting computer classes we would be most delighted if you could share this project with them. Perhaps you could consider donating in honor of your loved ones this year....after all kindess it what makes the world go round.

Keep well and we'll be in touch soon again,

Iona and the TBF team

Dear supporters,

We hope our report finds you well.

Since our last report there have been no updates to this project as our focus, and the focus of our supporters, has been on the impact of Covid and the current Mynanmar/Burma crisis. Understabably new computers has taken a back seat in terms of priorty for everyone concerned.

With the situation changing, and for many improving, we will leave this project open until the next report is due in September in the hopes that we might be able to collectively get closer to our funding target.

If you are in a position to and believe in the importance of education for marginalised communities we would love for you to consider donating and/or donating again!

With many thanks and gratitude,

Iona and the TBF team.
